BIGGIE: Ralph Dela Cruz, 3rd Year, Computer Science + Design
smalls: Jaana Tabalon, 2nd Year, Computer Science + Design Family: Rogue -- Describe your relationship with your BIGGIE/smalls! R: Jaana is like the little sister I never had growing up so it’s really cool being a role model type thing person idk. I like spoiling her and listening to her when she needs a good vent. We also share music (wooo The 1975 started it all) and I just try to be there to support her and give any advice I can! J: Ralph is really like an older brother I never had. He's there whenever I want to talk about literally anything, whether it's what classes to take (it's so convenient that we're the same major lol), new music, animal crossing, or just general life stuff. Ralph always seems to know what to say and keeps me grounded. We share a lot of similarities in our interests and artistic tastes too so it's always really cool to share new music, art, or photography with him. He's also super caring and is always looking out for me, just like an older sibling! -- What’s something you’ve learned from your BIGGIE/smalls? R: I’ve learned that believing in yourself and pushing to do your best will lead to great results. Cheesy, but whenever Jaana wants something or has a goal she does whatever she can to achieve it. For example, her co-op search was rough and despite the frustration she had, that did not stop her and she didn't give up or settle for a co-op less than what she wanted. J: Enjoy life as it comes, take it one day at a time, and trust in yourself! I tend to overthink about a lot of things, so whenever I go to Ralph for help or advice, he reminds me that I should just step back and not worry so much over details or situations that might not even happen. He's taught me to trust in my own decisions and learn to do what's best for me! Also, Ralph's taught me to just live my life you know! Do fun things! Be creative! :D -- What’s one of your favorite moments with your BIGGIE/smalls? R: One of my favorite moments was The 1975 concert we went to last year because it was her first time seeing her favorite band and also No Rome was there and also The Japanese House which was an insane lineup. Hehehehehehe also she didn’t know I was getting her those tickets hahaha pranked J: The 1975 concert last May FOR SURE. Ralph surprised me on my birthday last year with GA tickets to The 1975, which he had been hiding from me literally for months. The 1975 was one of the first things we bonded over and being literally right! in front! of the stage with Ralph screaming along to all of the songs is one of my top memories. We wore matching t-shirts and then walked to McDonald's in the rain right after lol
